Data Teams

The Data Teams workshop is designed for administrators and teacher
leaders who want to become a site-level Data Team to support assessment
literacy at their school site. The Data Teams training is based on the
Data-Driven Decision-Making protocol from Doug Reeves and the Center for
Performance Assessment. Participants will learn and practice a simple
yet powerful data protocol and process to implement data teams at the
school and classroom levels. Classroom teachers, serving as data team
leaders, will understand their role to create agendas, monitor time,
listen, and help move the team through the assessment data protocol as
it relates to their grade level or department. Site administrators will
understand the importance of meeting with the data team leaders to
collect and analyze student achievement data and to discuss strategies
to share this information school wide. Participants will learn the
importance of safety in data dialogue, and some strategies to create
that safe environment.
